A creative parent/child experience (for a 2 or 3--year-old on a Wednesday morning from 9-10 or10:30-11:30 am.
DAILY ROUTINES
- Parent and child are encouraged to play and talk together. Playdough, puzzles, easel and paints, blocks and toys are available for the children to use.
- The children are encouraged to borrow a book each day that Toddler Time is in session. We ask that you return a book before taking another.
- Everyone comes to the rug area to sing our Hello song. Several fingerplays are taught. These are short with simple motions and will be repeated for several weeks. The craft for that day will be shown and briefly explained at circle time.
- While some children need to play after our circle time, others can start on their craft for the day. Parent and child can work together but we encourage the child to do as much as possible.
- We again gather on the rug. The following materials are used throughout the session: musical instruments, parachute, play equipment, bean bags and songs.
