Hi, I am Valerie Frederick, Director of Immanuel Preschool. I have been teaching at Immanuel since 1990. I have taught every program at Immanuel and currently teach morning and afternoon 3-year-old classes.
I graduated Summa cum Laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education. I also have a Pennsylvania Early Childhood Teaching Certificate in Preschool/Kindergarten.
I am originally from western Pennsylvania, but since 1990, I have lived in Shillington with my family. I have two school-aged children in the Governor Mifflin School District.
In 1993, I joined Immanuel U.C.C. where I teach Sunday school and Vacation Bible School. I volunteer in the church childcare and serve on the Christian Education Committee.
There are eleven teachers on the staff of Immanuel Preschool. We all have child abuse and criminal checks and try to stay current with first aid and CPR training. We strive to stay up-to-date with early childhood issues by attending local workshops. I am so very proud that together we have created a warm, loving program where children can learn and have fun.
